AlintaGas was a Government Business Enterprise and owned and operated the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline and the gas distribution system. Darianne was responsible for outsourcing the provision of Employee Assistance services, coordinating the first Employee Opinion survey and managing of the Workers Compensation and Injury Management function. Darianne then managed organisational change as Chairperson of the Change Management Team and contributed, as member of the Corporate Executive's Change Leadership Team to the sale of the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline, and SAP computer system implementation. The Building Management Authority was responsible for the construction and maintenance of all WA Government buildings. The Authority had a direct labour workforce of all trades associated with building construction, maintenance and services including cleaning and gardening. In her role Darianne developed of programs, policies and processes and provided advice in relation to occupational health and safety, worker’s compensation and rehabilitation, employee assistance, EEO and diversity.

Princess Alexandra Hospital was the largest public hospital in the state of Queensland providing acute and rehabilitation services to adults. Managed the delivery of Occupational Therapy services which included the management of 23 staff and the associated budget.

- Developing a human resource management strategy and communicating on behalf of the Gas Pipeline Sales Steering Committee with Government agencies and the Labour Relations Cabinet Subcommittee to obtain support for the strategy.
- Negotiating an Award and Certified Agreement with the ASU
- Engaging an Actuary to develop a superannuation projection model to establish the quantum of anticipated loss for each employee and to estimate the amount necessary for each employee to invest at an acceptable level of risk to redress any such loss.
- Preparing Ministerial Briefing papers, cabinet submissions, submissions to agencies, and responses to Parliamentary Questions and Ministerial enquiries.
- Managing communication to all pipeline employees.
- Achieving 134 of 137 targeted employees accepting an offer of employment with the eventual purchaser.
